I have a diverse work background that is primarily focused on customer service. When I turned 18, I became a Certified Personal Trainer because I have always had a deep passion for being an expert in a subject and using my knowledge to help others. After completing high school, I joined the military and worked as a firefighter on active duty for four and a half years, including one Afghanistan tour. It was an honor to serve my country and assist others in their time of need.

After my military service, I decided to become a commercial pilot and enrolled in flight school. I have been flying for the past five years, and while I enjoy aviation, my true passion lies in Cybersecurity and Information Technology. Over the past year, I went back to college and earned a B.S. in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, along with 14 industry certifications. I graduated with a M.S. in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance on May 31st, 2024!

I have decided to pursue a career change and follow my true passion. I want to use my knowledge and expertise to help others and make a positive impact.

My Background

My Hobbies and Interests

I have two passions in life: IT and Bodybuilding. I started my fitness journey over 17 years ago, which has become a part of my lifestyle. Although I'm not a competitive bodybuilder, I enjoy training and educating others with my expert knowledge.

I'm a nerd at heart and love to learn new things after hours of studying or working. Cybersecurity is one of my favorite topics, and I'm constantly improving my skills by enrolling in courses on Udemy, watching YouTube videos, and gaining hands-on experience through TryHackMe. My latest project is learning how to use Splunk, which involves using the GUI (via the website) and the command line from my Linux VM.

I live in Colorado and enjoy outdoor activities such as snowboarding, hiking, and playing with my dog. Recently, I have also joined the pickleball bandwagon and developed an interest in sleight-of-hand card tricks. I appreciate the dedication it takes to develop the finger dexterity and skill to pull off a trick.

What Sets ME Apart

My gift has always been to find something I love, become completely obsessed with it, learn as much as possible about it, and use it to help others. I have done that as a personal trainer for the past 13 years and during my nearly five years of honorable military service as a firefighter. I will now do that as a Cybersecurity Professional.

When you hire me, you’re not getting a 9-5 employee. You’re getting an employee who is truly passionate about cybersecurity and information technology. I will spend countless hours researching, developing, and learning new skills to help me better perform my job and accelerate my career. Not because I have to or someone is telling me to, but because I truly want to.
